Living Close to Him

Do you ever wake up early (rarely), ready for some great God time and an amazing devotional message, but when you start reading you feel it falls short? Like you were super amped for God to share a life changing message that morning, but ‘all’ He did was to tell you He is always with you?

I fall so so so short sometimes that it kills me. This morning I read about how God is not limited to time and/or space and instead of being in absolute awe, I got upset that He didn’t share a brand new revelation with me. Guess what?! He did! The more I thought about the “Jesus Calling” devotional throughout the day, the more I realized how incredible God is. I take for-granted that He is always by my side- that He has seen my past, present, and future and desires GOOD for me.

“Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.”

– Hebrews 7:25

Jesus has a permanent priesthood and is not limited by death. HOW WAS THIS NOT ENOUGH FOR ME THIS MORNING!? When I delight in Him (Psalm 37: 3-4), the more my desires align with His, and then the desires of my heart are filled. Jesus called this morning, I didn’t answer. Thank you God, for not just calling on me once today, but for replaying your message until I turned to you and worshiped you.
