Life’s Unexpected Trips

A small heart scare from my dad this past month led to a little surgery.

Which was more than enough reason for me to pack a bag and make my way out to CA again.

By God’s grace (and the amazingly skilled doctors, nurses, technicians, ect) my dad’s surgery went well. He has more tests and hospital visits in his future, but I still praise God that it doesn’t seem serious. 🙂

My dad is awesome and didn’t want this trip to be about the hospital and him only, so we hit the beach and drove around the GORGEOUS central CA farmland (and vineyards).

Also in CA I found my absolute favorite chip. I’m not a big fan of potato chips, but I CANNOT RESIST eating these:

You can judge me for them, but don’t knock it ’til you’ve tried it.

On my way out my mother, sister nephew and I stopped by In-N-Out, because you cannot go through CA and not get some.

So this isn’t a real post, just a little update on what I’ve been up to. Last wedding of the season in 11 days! After that maybe I’ll find some time to write.
